Indent is a shared AI coworker that a whole company teaches together, aimed at engineering teams who are tired of every person configuring their own private agent. Rather than have people ask it in isolation, teams work with Indent in Slack or tag it on a pull request , so context accumulates in one place instead of scattering across individual chat histories. The launch matters because most coding agents today are single-player tools, and Indent is betting the next unlock is a coworker that gets smarter every time anyone on the team corrects it. Under the hood, Indent runs a set of specialized agents covering PR authorship, code review, natural-language data warehouse queries, and incident triage, operating both locally on developer machines and in the cloud, and surfacing work through Slack, GitHub, and CI pipelines . The pitch to founders and engineering leaders at small and midsize companies is a single teammate with shared cross-domain context, so an answer someone teaches it about the billing service also shows up when the on-call engineer pages it at 2am. Indent is built by Minimal Surface, Inc., led by founder and CEO Sashank Thupukari , who was previously a software engineer at Ramp and before that at Dagster . That background in data infrastructure and internal tooling shows up in the product's emphasis on connecting code, data, and operations under one agent rather than shipping yet another IDE plugin.

One agent for the whole team is the correct wedge. Every company I talk to has 14 half-configured agents nobody trusts, this cleans that up.

The framing is smart but 'one coworker for everyone' also means one blast radius for everyone. How do you scope permissions when marketing and infra share the same brain?

Demo cuts are suspiciously clean. Would love to see one unedited run where the agent has to actually deal with a stale token or a rate limit.

The launch video pacing is tight but the voiceover sounds like it's apologizing for existing. Let the product brag a little.

Rewrite of the tagline, no charge: 'Indent, the coworker who actually reads the Slack thread.' You can Venmo me.

Before we can even pilot this, procurement wants SOC2, SSO via Okta, and a DPA. Any of those live yet or is it design partner handshake territory?

Been 'three weeks out' from shipping my own team-agent for months. Genuinely relieved someone else absorbed the pain so I can go back to my actual side project.
