Forus is an AI network for specialty medicine that assigns an autonomous agent to every qualifying prescription, sitting inside a physician's electronic workflow to shepherd it from clinical decision through prior authorization, financial assistance, and specialty pharmacy fulfillment. Founded in 2023 by Sahir Jaggi, Forus provides a platform that functions as an intelligent connective tissue linking prescribing physicians, specialty pharmacies, payers, and biopharma commercial teams. Offered free to providers and patients, the platform gives every qualifying prescription a dedicated, autonomous AI agent embedded directly into clinical electronic workflows. The target problem is concrete: one in three patients prescribed therapies for high-cost or complex conditions never receives their initial dose, while those who do regularly wait weeks or months due to prior authorization and financial clearance hurdles. This launch marks a $150M Series C at a $3B valuation, led by Bain Capital Ventures with full participation from prior backers including Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel, Redpoint, BoxGroup, Pear VC, Avra, Human Capital, Neo, Vast Ventures, and SV Angel. The round triples the company's valuation just months following its Series B round, lifting cumulative equity financing past $300M. The company (previously known as Tandem) has moved quickly from a niche starting point into a broader network play, which is why the raise reads as an insider conviction round rather than a new-lead story. Traction supports the ambition. The platform has established a widespread national presence, with healthcare providers across all 50 U.S. states using Forus to treat patients residing in 85% of U.S. residential ZIP codes. In its initial rollout specialty of rheumatology, more than one-third of all U.S. providers have adopted the network, with double-digit provider adoption scaling across several follow-on specialties. On the manufacturer side, Forus now collaborates with 9 of the top 15 global biopharma companies to streamline commercial product launches and optimize clinical trial protocol design. The new capital is aimed at pushing the agent model into additional specialties and care settings, which is the pitch worth watching for anyone tracking how AI actually reaches the last mile of drug access.

The tweet buried the actual product under a philosophy essay about immortality. Lead with what Forus does in the first line, this reads like a TED talk cold open.

Sahir, would love to chat for a piece I'm working on about the new wave of clinical AI networks. DMs open whenever.

Pharma spend keeps ballooning and yet somehow every 'AI for medicine' pitch acts like the TAM is infinite. It's actually consolidating hard, you're all fighting for the same 12 buyers.

The three-audience framing (patients, prescribers, creators) is clever positioning but it also means three sales motions and three product surfaces. Curious which one you're actually building first.

That gradient in the launch card looks like every biotech deck from the last four years. Muted teal to lavender is officially the new Helvetica.

Naive question but if it's a 'network,' who are the nodes on day one? Feels like the announcement skipped the part where you explain who's actually plugged in.

One more thing for the roadmap: a prescriber-facing mobile companion. The web dashboard is fine but doctors live on their phones between rooms.

PHI across prescribers and pharma R&D in one platform is a data residency nightmare waiting to happen. Hope the BAAs are as polished as the landing page.

Built something suspiciously similar at a big co in 2019 and legal killed it in six weeks. Rooting for you to actually ship this time.

An AI network for medicine with no on-chain provenance layer for trial data is a missed opportunity. You're leaving the audit trail primitive on the table.

Any plans to open source even the eval harness? The clinical AI space is drowning in benchmarks nobody can reproduce and good docs would earn a lot of goodwill fast.
